October Changemaker Call
Change work is meaningful, but it can also be demanding. This free monthly call offers a dedicated hour for leaders, practitioners, and community builders to connect with peers, share perspectives, and leave with practical ideas to support sustained impact.
During our first call in September, we thought about our circles of influence, talked about the Buddhist concept of noting, and committed to making one small shift in our daily routines to check in with ourselves.
October 2025: Seasonal Energy Planning, Aligning with Nature
This month, we will explore how seasonal rhythms can guide our personal and professional patterns. We will think about attuning our energy and expectations to natural cycles of rest, reflection, and growth for more sustainable and intuitive work-life balance.

Fall Grounding Workshop
Join us for a guided workshop designed to support emotional regulation and nervous system balance. We will practice reflection through connection with the natural world. Held in a local forested space, the program will include group facilitation and solo reflection using creative prompts. No previous experience or artistic ability necessary.
Location: Audubon Louisiana Nature Center, New Orleans East
Audience: Open to the public. Educators, caregivers, and community members welcome
Accessibility: Dependent on final site (some trail-only, some ADA-accessible)
Whether you're feeling overstimulated, disconnected, or in need of seasonal grounding, this experience offers a gentle container to pause and recenter as the season changes.
Educators navigating the back to school stretch are especially encouraged to attend. Sign up here.
Tips for Leaders in Stressful Times
Be transparent. Teams can handle uncertainty better when they know you’re sharing as much as you can.
Recognize stress. Acknowledge that the people around you may have unspoken fears, and model steadiness without false promises.
Step outside. If you feel yourself experiencing grief or anger, try shifting your environment and see if the emotions follow.
Why Language Matters: Articulating Mission-Driven Work in a Polarized Landscape
If you’re a nonprofit navigating shifts in the funding landscape and need help reframing your work for broader resonance, let us help. Keep your mission moving forward by using language that resonates across political lines.
RETREATS: Unplug, reconnect, and recalibrate.
We design and facilitate transformative retreats that support team cohesion, leadership clarity, and long-haul sustainability. Whether your team needs a restorative retreat, a new strategic plan, a nature-based reset, or a board visioning session, we can create the right space to propel your change forward.
